Workforce Development: Outreach to Veterans on Careers in the Water Sector

With the anticipated retirement of many drinking water operators, Massachusetts Water Works Association, with a grant from the USEPA, has been doing outreach to veterans groups to make them aware of careers in the water sector. This paper will describe some of the opportunities and challenges in recruiting veterans to the water profession. A veteran shares his own experiences about entering the water profession.
