Numerous other legal areas include examples of federal and state conflicts where Congress has resorted to preemption or is threatening to do so. Appendices A-D provide concise resources about several highly visible emerging preemption conflicts that instructors can integrate into their pedagogy because of their relevance to business regulation. The appendices include brief descriptions of the political, social, or economic issues that lawmakers are tackling. They provide references to existing or pending state legislation, as well as federal legislation that includes preemption. These appendices also provide instructors with Web and law review resources, some of which are openly biased, others of which try to present objective analyses.
