摘要

Backstepping is a novel non -linear control method. The advantage of this method is that this can be used everywhere irrespective of the operating point. This technique designs by breaking down complex nonlinear systems into smaller subsystems, then designing control Lyapunov functions and virtual controls for these subsystems. The advantage of the control method is that this avoids cancellation of useful non-linearities. In this paper, backstepping technique is applied to the digital autopilot design of a typical launch vehicle. Effectiveness ol'the controller is demonstrated through simulations for large perturbations in plan t parameters.
