Large size SBN single crystal growth by the resistance-heating Czochralski technique using crucible-based cooling

We were able to grow Sr_0.61Ba_0.39Nb_2O_6 single crystals, 35-50 mm in diameter and 35-65 mm in length (180-470) g in weight) by the Czochralski technique using a resistance-heating furnace and crucible-based cooling. We were also able to obtain striation-free crystals by growing with crucible-base cooling and no crystal rotation, and subsequently by annealing the crystals at 1470deg.C for 50 h.
