This is a very brave book, launched by an equally brave author, who sets out to explain and to provide a critical analysis of the monstrous bureaucratic nightmare which is the current state of the Human Rights industry in Europe. By common consent democracy and human rights are policy areas in which the EU and many of its more recent member states have performed least well and yet, bizarrely, it was, in 2012, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for'its achievements in the advancement of reconciliation, democracy, and human riqhts in Europe'.
