Preface - PEDISWESA'13

摘要

This special issue is dedicated to performance evaluation for distributed systems and web service based architectures (PEDIS-WESA). The issue highlights papers selected from the presentations given during one day at the International Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC-2013), held in split, Croatia, July, 2013. This mini-symposium was organized by Professors Hacene Fouchal and Narayan Debnath at the invitation of the conference organizers. The goal of the mini-symposium was to bring together researchers, professionals and practitioners at all levels, including students, faculty and research scholars in order to share and exchange original research ideas on Performance evaluation for distributed systems and web service based architectures. It is a collection of eight papers which cover a various subjects in computational science as modelling, data extraction, ehealth, mobility. These fields are computed using simulation, quantitative evaluation or by implementations in real environments. A broad overview of each paper is included below.
