PureCircle to start producing stevia based high-purity Reb D sweetener

PureCircle plans to commercialise the production of its stevia-based high-purity Reb D which has received self-affirmed GRAS (generally recognised as safe) status. The company has elected to formally submit its GRAS notification to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the agency's additional safety review.
