摘要

This study analyses the role of supply management in a firm's value thinking. Moreover, firm's ability to consider purchasing and supply management as part of value creation is studied. The study proposes that the strategicness, status and level of purchasing are positively related to the firm's value thinking. Three hypotheses are established based on the existing literature, and the model is tested by linear regression analysis using data from one hundred Finnish firms. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between supply management and the firm's value thinking. The findings strengthen the insights that supply management has an important role as a value creating element in the firm.
