Creation and Salvation: Dialogue on Abraham Kuyper's Legacy for Contemporary Ecotheology

This volume examines Dutch Reformed theologian Abraham Kuyper's theology of creation and its relationship to redemption with a view to its potential for ecotheology. The work can be divided into two parts. The first consists of three chapters on Kuyper's theology of creation and redemption - beginning with Kuyper's reception in South Africa before moving to Kuyper's view of revelation (general/special) and grace (common/particular). These substantive chapters are carefully researched, providing fresh and extensive treatment of central themes in Kuyper's theology in light of contemporary theological discourse. The second half of the volume includes responses from eight scholars from across the globe, selected for their particular relevance to the discussion as both critical and sympathetic readers of Kuyper's theology.
