摘要

Organisations now fail or succeed based upon their ability to respond quickly to changing customer demands and to utilise new innovative technologies. In this environment, the advantage goes to the firm that can offer greater varieties of new products with higher performance and greater overall appeal. As the direct result of this, the industry is required to apply new engineering philosophies such as Rapid Response to Manufacturing (RRM). The RRM environment is developed through integrating technologies such as feature-based CAD modelling, knowledge-based engineering for integrated product and process design and rapid manufacturing concepts. IJRapidM is intended to provide a common resource for the dissemination and publication of research results and application descriptions that deals with the advancement of RRM, especially eneineerine desien and ranid manufacturing in an inteerated form
