Preface of the Special Issue of International Journal of Hydrogen Energy: Proceedings of the 7th Petite Workshop on the Defect Chemical Nature of Energy Materials

摘要

This Special Issue contains a total of 22 selected papers from those presented at the 7th Petite Workshop on the Defect Chemical Nature of Energy Materials, held at Storaas, Kongsberg, Norway March 14-17,2011. The papers reflect the wide spectrum of roles of defects for the properties of materials for hydrogen and other energy technologies. They also cover the latest progress in many key areas, including solid oxide fuel cells, both with proton and oxide ion conducting electrolytes, hydrogen gas separation membranes, and photoelectrochemical cells for water splitting.
