COMPARISON OF BUG DETECTION AND CORRECTION IN JOOMLA 1.5 AND JOOMLA 1.6.

A statistical comparison was made between the amount of time taken to detect and solve bugs (issues) in Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.6 content management system software. Severities of bugs were rated by the project managers as' high, medium high, medium, low and very low. The goal of the comparisons was to determine if there is a significant difference in time needed to detect and correct bugs of various severities within and between projects. Via the comparison, we found out that the difference between times taken to detect and correct various bug severities within each project is not significant with two exceptions. There is a significant difference in the median time to detect bugs of various severities in Joomla 1.5 and a significant difference in the median time to correct bugs in Joomla 1.6.
