Preface

This special issue contains a selection of papers presented at the Second Spanish-Italian-Netherlands Game Theory Meeting (SING2). The SING2 meeting took place at the University of Foggia, Italy, from the 14th to the 17th of June 2006 and was attended by about 180 researchers, with 130 communications and 6 invited speakers. At the opening session of the conference, Professor Harold Kuhn was awarded the Golden Seal of the University of Foggia. The first Italian Meeting on Game Theory and Applications (IMGTA) was held in 1983 in Bergamo and subsequent meetings took place from 1984 to 2003. Since 2000, these meetings have alternated with similar Spanish meetings on Game Theory. During the IMGTA Meeting in Urbino in 2003, the idea of having the Netherlands as an "additional player" in the Italian-Spanish collaboration was eagerly approved. The first SING Meeting was held in Maastricht in 2005.
