A number of borrowers were preparing to print primary deals last Thursday afternoon in New York ahead of the holiday on Friday, including the much discussed US$1.55bn two-tranche deal for Murray Energy. Market conditions felt firmer ahead of the US payrolls data on Friday, with equities up on hopes the data would show a stronger labour market than previously expected.
