Six Asian banks, including four from China, have committed to the A$8.42bn (US$6.2bn) M&A loan backing the purchase of the AusGrid electricity network. Ifm investors and australiansuper are the acquirers, while the lenders are Agricultural Batik of China, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, ICBC, Norinchukin Bank and United Overseas Bank. The facility drew commitments of over A$4bn, bolstered with A$2bn from BOC and A$lbn from Norinchukin, prompting a scale-back for lenders.
