An amendment to Delaware's corporate law that makes it easier for companies to restructure themselves could have costly consequences for debt investors if not addressed in new bond and loan documents, legal experts have warned. The new provision, signed into law as an amendment to the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act, essentially allows a company to divide itself into two or more pieces and freely distribute assets and liabilities across them.
