ADT leads early year IPO charge

Private equity-backed deals are poised to lead the 2018 US IPO charge, starting with the up to US$2.1bn IPO of Apollo Global Management-backed home security company ADT. In what could rank as the biggest US IPO since Snap's US$3.9bn debut last March, ADT on Friday launched a roadshow to sell 111.1m primary shares at US$17-$19 each. The deal is expected to price post-close on January 18.
