HSBC has appointed Kanakanjan Ray to the newly created role of head of the financial institutions group for South-East Asia. Based in Singapore, Ray reports to Stephen Williams, head of global banking South-East Asia. He has worked at HSBC for more than 14 years, most recently as Singapore FIG head. Ray previously worked in Hong Kong and Mumbai, having started his career at ICICI Bank.
