Phil Kaufman Award

Paul Huang likes to express himself visually with pen and paper. A conversation with Huang leaves one rich with ideas, as well as a take-away or two of his sketches and renderings. ISD Magazine had a chance to sit and chat with Huang in light of his receiving the 2001 Phil Kaufman Award from the Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC). We started our far-ranging conversation by discussing his introduction to EDA in 1971.
