SembCorp Utilities and Petroplus have signed a long-term emergency response and preparedness deal covering the latter's 117,000 bpd refinery in Teesside, UK. The facility is the supplier of a significant proportion of biodiesel in the UK. SembCorp Protection is to provide fire and chemical spill protection and emergency planning for the refinery, and its site protection officers will provide firefighting, medical response and security protection services.
