Stolt-Nielsen has completed the acquisition of a majority holding in Marstel Terminals, which owns nine bulk liquids storage facilities in Australia and New Zealand with a total capacity of some 177,000 m~3. The operation will be renamed Stolthaven Australasia Pty Ltd. Marstel's founders will retain a 30 per cent interest and be a "key part" of the management team, according to Stolt-Nielsen. The new owners already have plans to expand capacity by 200,000 m~3 by 2014.
