A SECURE FUND TO FINANCE INFRASTRUCTURE

With the recent creation of a unique and fiscally sound plan called the Infrastructure Fiduciary Fund, the provincial government has provided the private sector with an important financial instrument for building crucial infrastructure. Under the oversight of the Economy and Public Works Ministries, the Fiduciary Fund's mission, with an initial sum of $1 billion, is to build drinking water and sewer drainage systems in the heavily populated belt that surrounds the Federal District, as well as to build new schools, hospitals and hydraulics works in the Salado River Basin. This is a river that crosses and floods 17 million hectares of pampas, considered one of the most fertile expanses in the world.
