Cosford's airliner exodus begins

British airways has donated the bulk of its historic airliners to the National Museums of Scotland for display at the Museum of Flight, East Fortune, Scotland. The BA Collection has been on external display at the RAF Museum Cosford, Shropshire, for a number of years and had recently been subjected to a joint review by the museum's Board of Trustees and BA. An earlier statement from the RAF Museum said the review has arisen due to "future conservation and funding reguirements, which have been highlighted as a result of recent exhibition developments at Cosford."
