You would never guess rhar it had been hidden under a haystack perhaps for as much as a quarter of a century. This December, Shuttleworth's magnificent Blackburn Monoplane celebrates its 100th birthday and looks very well on it! The collections Bleriot and Deperdussin have already passed this milestone and only at Old Warden in Bedfordshire can the spectacle of genuine Edwardian flying machines in their natural element be witnessed. Since its restoration, completed in 1949, the 'Mono' has been the oldest airworthy British aeroplane in the world.
