Hawker's exceptional Sea Fury was the last frontline piston-engined fighter in Fleet Air Arm service. Based at Yeovilton, Somerset, the Royal Navy Historic Flight (RNHF) is readying its two-seat T.20 version for the coming season while the restoration of single-seater FB.11 VR930 is reaching its climax. Between 1948 and 1952 the Fleet Air Arm (FAA) took delivery of 61 T.20s, the dual-control training version of the FB.11 shipborne fighter. Ten of the original FAA stock were converted to become contractor-operated target-tugs for service in West Germany in the 1960s.
