Camouflage and squadron markings have been added to Supermarine Spitfire T.9 TE308 at Biggin Hill. After a full restoration to flight by The Spitfire Company (Biggin Hill) Ltd, TE308 now represents the Mk.Ⅷ that was flown by Wg Cdr Bruce Watson of the RAAF's 457 (Grey Nurse) Squadron. Having successfully been flown in early August, it is set to join MJ627, MJ772 and MT818 in offering Spitfire Experience Flights from the historic Greater London airfield. Originally built by Vickers-Armstrong as a low-back Mk.Ⅸe at Castle Bromwich in the Midlands, TE308 was rolled out on April 19,1944, and was initially issued to 39 MU stationed at RAF Colerne, Wiltshire, on June 9,1945. It stayed there for five years before being passed to 29 MU at High Ercall in Shropshire.
