777 cockpit left unmanned after pilot is 'slapped'

India's Jet Airways has grounded two senior pilots after they both exited the cockpit of a Boeing 777-300ER following an argument on 1 January, leaving the 324 passengers and 14 crew members in the hands of the widehody's autopilot. Jet says that the two pilots "were outside the cockpit for less than a minute before returning, but the autopilot mode was on as the aircraft was cruising".
