With over 720 exhibitors, the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), held in Indianapolis, is the world's largest yearly event to address the firefighting industry Attendees from the US and all over the world visit this event to come up to speed with the latest equipment, training techniques and operational procedures. The FDIC also provides an exceEent opportunity to meet peers and network. The exhibition displays an array of firefighting technology including the latest vehicles, rescue tools, BA, and PPE, as well as a range of services specifically aimed at firefighters. The conference programme consists of speakers from major metropolitan fire departments from all over the USA and further afield, and addresses issues such as ventilation, rescue, operational tactics, and fire behaviour.
