The cavitation tunnel at QinetiQ's Haslar site, Portsmouth, has recently reopened following a renovation of its electronics and equipment. The work was undertaken to meet the requirements of commercial customers, as well as to continue to serve the military projects, which have formed much of the research undertaken at the Haslar site to date. Offering our services to the commercial marine market has necessitated a significant change in ethos, spurring a rethink in the way testing should be carried out in the cavitation tunnel for customers with commercially sensitive deadlines.
