Commission to update car fuel efficiency targets

As EE&PL was going to press on 11 July, the European Commission was expected to announce new car fuel efficiency targets by 2020.EE&PL understands that the revised rules will require new cars to emit no more than 95 grammes of CO_2 per kilometre by 2020 in a bid to lower fuel bills for drivers, encourage high-tech investment and jobs in Europe, lower oil imports and reduce air pollution.
