摘要

The number of organisations achieving certified environmental management standards (EMS), such as ISO 14001, has grown enormously over the past decade. The trend shows a thirst within business to improve environmental management. Common elements of certified standards are that organisations must commit to continuous performance improvement, have an environmental policy signed off at board level, identify legal requirements, measure environmental impacts and set targets to reduce them.
