Should we be reassessing our tunnels?

I note the response in Civil Engineers Australia (June 2013) from the concrete anchors industry, via AEFAC, concerning the March issue article arising from the tunnel ceiling collapse at Sasago, now over six months ago, and another in Boston some seven years ago. An official investigation report is yet to be issued concerning Sasago, but nine fatalities demand that the Japanese authorities did not wait for a report before they urgently checked all their tunnels nationally with structural similarities.
