Attendees at the Associated General Contractors' annual convention at Nashville's Opryland rnHotel made running jokes about the bewildering maze of corridors, rivers and gardens at thern600,000-sq-ft convention site. But the 3,100 conferees were clear about the issues that are important to contractors: adopting new technology, educating and attracting a future work force, safety and their comfort with the new climate at the White House.
