Olson says the project started with removal of the silos' 8-inch outer walls which were found to contain an asbestos-contaminated coating. "Starting from the very top, we used the LXP 200 with concrete cracking jaws to remove the contaminated outer wall section, get it on the ground, and take the debris to a Title v-permitted landfill facility near here. Having the ability to process that contaminated material separately really minimized the volume of debris headed to the landfill."
