A new museum for the Ravenglass line

The last five years have seen important developments on the 15-inch gauge Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway - some as a result of the fire of 28th March 2013, which destroyed the lines workshop and damaged much of the equipment within, including components of the then under-overhaul locomotive 'River Esk'. Other additions and improvements have been undertaken to assist the railway in maintaining and consolidating its position as an important regional heritage attraction.
