摘要

Modern digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) can make precise timing measure-ments on high-speed digital logic. Some leading-edge DSOs provide accuracy as precise as a few picoseconds or better in signal-edge-to-signal-edge timing measurements. With this speed and accuracy, a designer can confidently measure the setup-and-hold times of the most aggressive designs, often on the order of 1 nsec or less. This level of performance is especially crucial when it comes to evaluating timing compliance in high-speed, synchronous designs.
