Taicang to expand box capacity

Taicang port, situated along the Yangtze River in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, will build four more berths to take its annual container handling capacity to 6 million teu by 2020. Taicang Port Group (TPG) says that the port upgrade will cost about CNY4 billion (USD564 million) and each berth can cater to Panamax box ships. The total berth length will be 1.29 km, with an area of 1.2 million m~2.
