摘要

Regardless of its prominence, knowledge about innovative work behaviour, its antecedents and outcomes are still fragmented and inconsistent. In the context of digital technologies forming an inextricable part of 21st century higher education students, this study attempted to examine the antecedents that drive innovative work behaviour. Technology experiences influence the way students play, communicate, socialize and learn and the results of this study helps gain further insights regarding the contentious impact of. digital learning orientation on meaningful outcomes. India has one of the largest higher education systems in the world and support from industry and governmental stakeholders will help strengthen innovations and sustainability of educational sector. Since the study was conducted among end-semester students, who are about to enter the workforce in no time, the results of this study can be extrapolated to contemporary technology-driven organizations and implications are relevant for managers therein. In summary: 1.Efforts should be oriented towards undertaking teaching pedagogies that will include more of digital gadgets and technologies, enabling higher experiential learning. Technology can help accelerate the momentum of innovations and adaption. 2.Governmental policies should aim at providing ample organizational and infrastructural support to help students acquire digital skills, and facilitate further training in the use of information technology for educational purposes. 3.Academicians and practitioners need overcome the skepticism over digital transformation of business processes and leap forward to implement the same in their institutions/organizations.
