Research on Material Provision of Lithuanian General Education Schools with Interactive Whiteboards and Preparation of Teachers to Work on Them

摘要

The goal of the research is to evaluate provision of Lithuanian general education schools with interactive whiteboards (IWB) and teachers’ preparation to work on IWB. The study was carried out in 2013-2014 in Lithuanian general education schools. The research data were obtained from surveys of 25 school heads and 76 teachers as well as from an interview with an expert (IWB supplier in Lithuania). The research findings demonstrated the extent of IWB use in Lithuanian schools, teachers’ skills of working on IWB and their needs for further training.
