An Empirical Analysis for The Impact of Agricultural Insurance Subsidy Policy on Farmers' Purchase Insurance

In order to effectively analyze the impact of agricultural insurance subsidy policy on farmers' purchase insurance, this paper proposes an empirical analysis method of multivariate- order Probit model. First, the influencing factors of farmer participating in insurance are acquired with status survey of farmers participating in the agricultural insurance according to the actual agricultural insurance premium subsidies in Jilin Province. Secondly, influencing factors above are used to build multivariate-ordered Probit model and the parameters are estimated by the maximum likelihood estimation. Finally, with the empirical analysis, the result of Probit model fitting for farmers' purchase insurance is acquired and the better degree of fitting is showed and on this basis, the suggestion of encouraging farmers to participate in insurance is put forward.
