A bisatellited marker chromosome in a mentally retarded girl with infantile autism

A girl with karyotype 47, XX. + a bisatellited chromosome (a presumptive translocation between short arm-satellites and part of the centromere of chromosome No. 13 and the proximal part of the long arms, centromere or short arm-satellites of chromosome No. 14. 15 or 22), mental retardation and infantile autism is reported. The possible origin of the marker chromosome is discussed and so is the association between the chromosome abnormality, mental retardation and the infantile autism.
