Various heterocyclic compounds including tetrazoles have shown many biological activities like antimicrobial, antifungal,analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antitubercular, anticonvulsant, cyclooxygenase inhibitors and antihypertensive, anticancer,antidiabetic and others. The tetrazoles provide diverse pharmacological activities of tetrazole moiety and the potentialrole in biosciences. Therefore, researchers are interested in development of tetrazole for their diverse pharmacologicalactivities. Moreover, lot many things to be explored about these compounds. This review highlights the important thingsabout the potential role, some chemical reactions and biological activities of tetrazoles.
