Enhanced Oil Recovery has been an outstanding method that has changed the oil industry and has allowed the countries to extract the maximum amount of this finite resource possible. In this study, the strengths and weaknesses of four different enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques used in oil recovery processes are analyzed. These four methods include Mobility-Control Recovery, Chemical Recovery, Thermal Recovery and Miscible Recovery. The article explores the advantages and disadvantages of each method in terms of the cost of the materials used, the difficulties associated during the process, the availability of the materials used and the machineries used. Apart from the cost and material analysis, the paper looks over the different type areas where each method is most suitable. This could include, the type of the soil, oil and the depth of the reservoir. The method analysis allows the users to become familiar with each technique and identify the method that best suits the recovery process in an oil reservoir.
