摘要

A simple one-pot green approach for the biosynthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by reducing chloroauric acid(HAuCl4) with extract of Xanthium strumarium or Xanthium Indicum Kone is described. The biosynthesized newmaterials were extensively characterized by UV Visible spectroscopy, FT-IR, XRD, SEM and TEM analysis. Theformation of Gold nanoparticles from plant material was confirmed. TEM image revealed that most of the particleswere found in a spherical shape with size ranging from 9.60 nm to 11.70 nm. The size, shape and purity were wellanalyzed. The biological profile such as In vitro antibacterial activity and In vitro antifungal activity was investigatedand shows the significance of their application towards biological activity.
