Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of high quality nursing for elderly femoral fracture patients during perioperative period. Methods Totally 64 elderly femoral fracture patients undergoing surgery were assigned to the observation group and the control group, with 32 cases in each group. Both two group received routine care during perioperative period, and the high quality nursing intervention was carried out in the observation group. Results The overall complication rate was 6.25%(2/32)in the observation group and was 25.00%(8/32)in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). Patients in the observation group had a shorter length of stay and high satisfaction degree compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Application of high quality nursing may reduce the incidence of postoperative complication in elderly femoral fracture patients.
