Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of clinical nursing pathway based on fast-track rehabilitation for patients with rotator cuff repair under arthroscopy. Methods 〓Totally 78 patients with rotator cuff injury were enrolled in the randomized controlled trials. Patients were randomly divided into group A and group B, with 39 cases in each group. Patients of group A received clinical nursing pathway based on fast-track rehabilitation after the operation, and those in of group B received routine nursing interventions after the operation. The recovery of muscle strength was evaluated. The visual analogue scale(VAS)on pain and range of motion(ROM)were observed and compared between two groups. Results 〓The total effective rate of muscle strength recovery in group A was higher than that in group B(94.87% vs. 79.49%, P0.05). There was no significant difference in VAS scores between two groups before treatment and 5 weeks after treatment(P0.05). At 10 weeks after operation, the VAS score of group A was lower than that of group B(P0.01); The ROM scores of group A at 5 and 10 weeks after operation were higher than those of group B, with a significance difference(P0.01). Conclusion The clinical nursing pathways based on fast-track rehabilitation is helpful to relieve postoperative pain and facilitate functional training in patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Early implementation of functional training can improve the muscle strength and joint activity of patients.
