Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of surgical nursing path in laparoscopic herniorrhaphy for elderly patients with inguinal hernia. Methods A total of 30 elderly inguinal hernia patients undergoing aparoscopic herniorrhaphy were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 15 cases in each group. Both two groups were given conventional nursing care and the observation group was applied with surgical nursing pathway. The surgical indicators, postoperative complication and satisfaction degree of patients were compared between two groups. Results The observation group had a shorter operation time, lower amount of blood lost, shorter postoperative length of stay, earlier pain relieved time compared with the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in incidence of postoperative complication and nursing satisfaction rate between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Surgical nursing path of laparoscopic herniorrhaphy can improve the clinical outcomes of laparoscopic herniorrhaphy in treatment of elderly patients with inguinal hernia.
