Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of aerobic exercise combined balance training on cognition and quality of life in patients with cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction. Methods 〓Totally 84 cases of patients with cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction were divided into observation group(n=42)and control group(n=42). Both two groups received comprehensive treatment and nursing care, and the observation group was given with aerobic exercise combined balance training. The cognitive, motor, neurological function and quality of life of two groups were evaluated by Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA), modified Barthel index(MBI), mini-mental state examination(MMSE)and WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Results The subscale and overall score of MoCA, MBI, MMSE and WHOQOL-BREF were increased in both two groups after treatment, and were better improve d in the observation group than those of controls(P0.05). Conclusion 〓Aerobic exercise combined balance training can improve the cognition and quality of life in patients with cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction.
