With the increase of the crime along the years, the modernization of the used strategies in the publicsecurity and the use of support systems to the take of the decision become necessary. The use ofinformation technologies brings out as an ally in the prevention and solution of the found problems inthis sector. This article presents the use of genetic algorithms and resources feed up by the appliedGoogle Maps in the grouping of police occurrence for the identification of strategic points by means ofthe identification of centroids with the aim to prevent them, providing this way a better allocation ofhuman resources and material of the police manpower. Information with latitude, longitude and natureof the occurrences which has helped in the identification of grouping have been obtained from a database freed up by the Military Police.
