Flanging cowbells and cheers of "Yes We Can" marked the end of the 11th Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon, France on January 26, 2009. Over two days, teams from 22 countries competed for the $30,000 purse and international recognition. The French team, led by 23-year-old Jerome de Oliveira from the Plaza Athnee in Paris, won a decisive victory, scoring 7449 points.
